Once you have your Helmet facing the right direction, it is important to check the retention piece located in the back. If it is too tight, you will have a headache or neck strain after just a few hours. Adjust it until it has a snug feeling without having the squeezing effect.  The front should rest along your eyebrows with just enough room for a fingertip in between. Watch for signs such as sliding or constriction that could indicate an improper fit. The chinstrap is made to rest, not choke underneath your chin. If the Helmet is sized appropriately, it will stay on without the strap. It is still vital to wear the chinstrap as an extra added measure in the event of a mishap.
